Executive Director
Dr. Mohammad Imran Hossain Ansary

Mohammad Imran Hossain (Ansary) is an educator, journalist, and international security analyst with over 18 years of experience in media and strategic affairs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a Master’s in National Security from New Jersey City University, USA. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Information Systems at Robert Morris University, USA, with a dissertation titled “Analysis of Public Sentiment and the Use of Hybrid Warfare in the Digital Age”.
Mr. Ansary has held senior editorial roles in Bangladesh’s media sector, contributing to ETV, Diganta TV, Boishakhi Television, Tara Newz, and the Daily Samakal. His reporting has focused on regional security, democratization, and human rights. He is a United Nations Correspondents Association member and has covered major global events, including the Rohingya refugee crisis.
Mr. Ansary is an adjunct faculty member at Western Carolina University, where he teaches courses related to international security and political science. He is also the President of Ansary Academy USA, a nonprofit organization based in New York, and Executive Director of the Bangladesh Institute of Development and Strategic Studies (BIDSS).

Dr. Fahim K Sufi

Dr. Fahim K Sufi is a distinguished academic with a PhD from RMIT University, renowned
for his exceptional expertise in information operations and cybersecurity. His PhD thesis was
nominated for the best PhD thesis award, underscoring his deep knowledge in the field. Over
the years, Dr. Sufi has played a pivotal role in various government agencies, including the
Australian Defence, Australian Department of Health, Australian Department of Human
Services, and numerous Middle Eastern Defence Agencies and governments, where he
contributed to critical national and international projects in cybersecurity and artificial
intelligence.

Md. Harun Or Rashid

Harun is a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) and an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the Kent State University. He has more than ten years of experience in research, teaching, and advocacy in governance and politics. Harun served under the United State Institute of Peace (USIP) as its Bangladesh Country Project Manager. He also worked for the International Republican Institute (IRI), BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University in Bangladesh. In 2016, he served as a core team member of the National Governance Assessment Framework under the Governance Innovation Unit of the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh and the UNDP Bangladesh office to develop governance indicators in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At Kent State University, Harun teaches comparative politics, world politics, and conflict management. He also taught courses on governance and development at the BRAC University in Bangladesh.

Dr. Nazmus Sakib

Nazmus Sakib is a Lecturer in the Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky. He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas Tech University, and an M.S.Sc. and B.S.Sc in Economics from the University of Dhaka. His primary field of research is international relations with an emphasis on the peace science tradition. His academic works have appeared in Politics and Policy, and European Politics and Society journals. His teaching and research interests include studying the causes of war and peace with reference to pop culture, international security with an emphasis on Asia, foreign policy, etc. His public scholarship-oriented opinion pieces have appeared in Newsweek, Forbes, the National Interest, etc. He enjoys hiking, cooking, blogging, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Nazmul Islam

Assoc. Prof. Md. Nazmul Islam, PhD, is a Bangladeshi-Turkish political scientist, distinguished academic, Track II diplomat, and multilingual author. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Administration, and Head of Türkiye, Asia, and Indo-Pacific Studies (TAIPS), the Institute for International Relations and Strategic Research (ULİSA) at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University (AYBU), Türkiye. He taught post-graduate courses at the Greifswald University, Saarland University, Germany; Trento University, Italy; Ankara University’s Department of Media and Communication Studies and the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU).

MD. MAHBUB OR RAHMAN BHUYAN

Md. Mahbub Or Rahman Bhuyan is a dedicated scholar and educator in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Miami, where he is pursuing his PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice. With a strong commitment to teaching and research, his work primarily explores the dynamics of racial and ethnic inequality in the labor force, stratification, crime, and delinquency.
Mahbub holds a Master of Arts from Ohio University, where he received the Outstanding Student Award, and advanced degrees in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. His academic achievements include a Postgraduate Diploma in Disaster Management Studies, underscoring his interdisciplinary expertise.
His professional experience spans teaching roles in the United States, India, and Bangladesh, including as an instructor at the University of Miami, a visiting professor at Dr. DY Patil Business School in Pune, and an assistant professor at City University in Dhaka. He has also served in various academic and administrative capacities, including as a curriculum committee member for the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and a lead faculty trainer at BRAC University.
Beyond academia, Mahbub has contributed to impactful research projects, such as the "Racial Inequality in Occupations Project" at the University of Miami and social media network analyses funded by platforms like Twitter and Facebook. His commitment to quality education and meaningful research continues to shape his professional journey.
